Established in 1997, Web-Merchant
Services Limited set out to make taking payments online
not just easier, but also cheaper. By keeping our
customers’ desires at the heart of everything
we do, we strive to deliver value for money, flexible
solutions and excellent customer service.
For a number of years we were the only company in
the UK that could provide online merchant services.
Even the high-street banks were cynical of online
payments until the late 90's, early 2000's. Because
of this we had to go outside the UK, and formed a
relationship with a major French bank (Bank Pariba).
In 1999 we teamed up with NatWest allowing us to
cut through the red tape even more. Now in 2010 we
have forged several relationships with different banks
including Bank of Ireland, Royal Bank of Scotland,
Elevon, Bank of Israel (CAL), BarclayCard, Bank of
Hong Kong, CardOne Plus, B+S Card Services (Germany),
Postbank and most recently Valitor (formerly VISA
Iceland), who approached us in 2009.
Now in 2011, in partnership with PaymentSense, we
are bringing this success to the offline payments
market.
