What is the Merchant Administration Interface?

The Merchant Administration Interface (MAI) is an online, menu-driven management and reporting tool you can use to administer your account(s) and payments and to customise your installation options and payment pages. It is one of a number of tools we provide to help you carry out a range of tasks, including managing:

  • Transactions and transaction details
  • Refunding, capturing and cancelling transactions
  • Disputes and chargebacks
  • FuturePay agreements
  • Risk scores and other transaction details
  • Your company's contact details
  • Your application
  • Installation activation
  • Shopper passwords

Technical and accounting staff can also use the Merchant Administration Interface (MAI) to manage or customise:

  • Configuration options (such as capture delay)
  • Installations
  • The look and feel of the payment pages
  • FuturePay options
  • Account reconciliation
  • Account balances
  • Reports.

Remember once your application has been approved, you will be sent a 'welcome' email containing the Merchant Administration Interface (MAI) URL - This URL provides access to the MAI.

Getting Started

Once your application has been approved, you will be sent a 'welcome' email containing the following:

  1. Installation ID - This should not be confused with the Administration Code, which is sent to you as soon as your application to us is provisionally accepted. The Installation ID is important as it must be included in the order details submissions you send from your website shop to us.
  2. Two separate URLs for each installation - These URLs are needed for your order details submissions. One will be the URL to use in order details submissions to the Test Environment and the other will be the URL to use in order details submissions to the Production Environment.
  3. Merchant Administration Interface (MAI) URL - This URL provides access to the MAI. The MAI provides various administrative facilities to help you manage your shop
  4. MAI user name and password - These enable you to login to the MAI for the first time. The password is the one you gave gave us during the application process. You will be prompted to change this password when you login for the first time.

Note that you can change this user name and password as often as you like.

What can I do with the MAI

  1. You can access your installation details, such as statements and transaction information,
  2. You can perform refunds and capture delay transactions (if you have chosen to use the capture delay service),
  3. You can upload files to use when customising the Payment Service Pages,
  4. You can customise your installation settings.

To maintain the security of your accounts, we strongly advise that you log out of your MAI when you are finished.

Your session is automatically disconnected after fifteen minutes of not being use
