Looking for a high-risk merchant account for your business?

Do you feel you fall under a high risk category, or even a prohibited one, due to your business model? Have you actually been turned down by other banks?

Many high-risk companies automatically assume that they will be turned down... This could be because they have been turned down before, given horrendous terms or they find that banks just don't want to know. Maybe it's as simple as assuming the worst!

Then we may be able to offer you the Premier Account

Please note that we can help many more businesses. Also special terms may be applied to high-risk accounts such as rolling reserves, longer settlement periods and an annual fee. However until an application is made we are unable to tell you what, if any, terms are included.

Providing annual membership services?

The banks that we use for our merchant accounts have recently started to get nervous about annual subscriptions and are now refusing these types of businesses.

The issue with these types of businesses is the annual part and not so much the amount of the transaction. The main problem is if 100% of the business is based on annual memberships or subscriptions.

We have some merchants at the bank where they have some annual memberships but they are debited from the customer monthly or they debit the customer annually but it only accounts for a small percentage of their business, e.g. 20%.

• Booking agents and travel agents (non bonded i.e. ATOL or ABTA)
• Reverse auctions or unique bidding [info]
• Legal highs (herbal or otherwise)
• Sales of replica, counterfeit goods
• Illegal Substances and Products (e.g. drugs, human organs, weapons)
• Prescription drugs (un-licensed)
• Laptops, plasma TV's and other high-value electronic goods
• Debt refinancing
• Short terms loans
• Tobacco sales
• Claims management and debt solutions
• Credit restoration
• Annual memberships (accounts for over 20% of the business)
• Merchants involved with anything that suggests rape, hate, racism, violence or incest.

* While the Web-Merchant account is easy to obtain there are certain services which cannot be covered. One of these is when you obtain services for your clients from third parties such as car hire companies. Because you may only take a payment for something for which the fulfillment is under your control, it is not possible to provide you with a Web-Merchant account for this purpose. You may take payment for services which you provide but not when you have to rely on others to deliver.
