Spending on mobile devices is expected to increase by 50% in the next 5 years

A report published by Barclays shows consumer spending on mobile devices will increase to £13bn by 2021 compared with £650m in 2011.

The growth of mobile sales will be driven by increases in smartphone technological such as 4G and NFC. In 2021 retail sales are expected to be worth some £390bn, with m-commerce accounting for 5% of sales.
