Standard
Account Integration methods
This also includes the gateway only integration
There are several different ways to integrate your site/shopping cart
to the standard account. The way in which information about purchases
is passed between your shop and the Gateway Only payment service is
called the Integration method.
Below are the different methods available:
Submitting Transactions in the Redirect Model Guide
The Redirect integration method uses HTML messages to
pass information between your site and us. It is the simplest and easiest
method of integration and will work on just about any platform.
What
is the Redirect Model?
Submitting Transactions in the Redirect Model is an online
payment system that enables shoppers to make secure payments in many
currencies over the Internet. It enables merchants like you to accept
automated multi-currency payments.
Our payment processing system works in conjunction with
your own shopping system: your website shop has its own order pages,
but uses our secure payment pages for the processing of payments. This
means you can benefit from the various payment methods that we support,
such as:
-
Credit cards
- we gather card details in our secure payment pages, there is no
need for you to do this,
-
Paypal (express
checkout). When PayPal is enabled as a payment method on your account,
the PayPal logo is added to payment method selection page - automatically,
there is no need for you to do this. When a shopper clicks on the
PayPal logo, they will be re-directed to PayPal to process their
payment as for any other PayPal payment
-
FuturePay - this
is an internet-based equivalent of traditional standing order and
direct debit facilities. It enables you to make arrangements for
subscription payments or payment by instalments.
All payment processing is handled by our secure server,
so you and your shoppers can be confident that their payment details are
safe.
Nothing
to Install
There is nothing to install with the Redirect Model. All
you need is a working Internet connection and your Inst ID.
Quick
and Simple, or Complex
If you are familiar with HTML you can choose to set-up a
simple integration using examples provided in this guide - and to make
use of our standard payment pages - all you need to do is to copy a few
lines of HTML and paste them into your website page.
If you have advanced HTML skills you can develop your own
fully automated ordering system, complete with customised payment pages.
Note that you can even integrate using a single URL query
string.
The choice is yours.
Other
Tools we Provide
- HTML payment responses- every authorisation
and capture as well as every other status in the life-cycle of a payment
are reported via http messages to your system (and optionally via
email). You can use this information to update your in-house systems
/ generate your own reports.
- Email receipts- you can choose to receive
automatic email receipts notifying you of each payment that is processed.
For more information, please refer to the Payments and Orders Guide.
Using
Callbacks
You can set-up the Redirect Model integration (RMI) to suit
your own requirements by configuring various options. For instance, you
can upload your own versions of the payment pages that are displayed to
your shoppers, and you can specify that you want to use the Payment Notifications
(Callbacks) feature.
When a shopper makes an order at your website and starts
to pay, our 'callback' feature enables you to automatically return information
from us to your webserver. Many shopping carts make extensive use of this
feature, to manage your shopper's orders more effectively.

feature, please click here
Customising
You can highly customise the Payment Service, including
the payment pages, the result pages displayed after a transaction has
taken place, and the confirmation emails that you and your shoppers receive.
We provide a Payment Page Editor which enables you to carry
out a range of standard customising tasks and is the simplest and fastest
way to customise your payment page. You access the Payment Page Editor
via Merchant Administration Interface's Installations Page, for further
details please refer to Opening the Payment Page Editor.
For a more sophisticated level of customisation you will
need to modify the files used to build the Payment Service. To do this
you will need to refer to the Advanced Customising Guide and have expertise
with HTML and the tools we provide in the Payment Page Editor.
Shopping Cart and/or Bespoke Integration
We have a comprehensive range of technical guides and application
'plug-ins' that are made available to you on application. Including a
FREE integration manual and 24/7 tech support. When you apply
you will be asked about your proposed web site so you can be sure
to receive the correct integration information.
Web-Merchant integrates with all the major shopping cart
software applications currently available in the marketplace. Also any
shopping cart scripting such PHP, ASP, JSP, CFM can be used, plus other
technologies such as Microsoft ASP.NET
